Live-ins I: People and Employment Situations

(in German)

More than four million people who need long-term care are looked after at home in Germany. The country’s estimated 300,000-600,000 live-ins have been making important contributions to this part of the health sector for years, but have received little attention in the outpatient care setting to date. Based on the results of an onlie survey of 429 live-ins from Poland, Bulgaria, Croatia and Romania, socio-demographic and employment-related characteristics of this group are described.

This publication is additionally available in the four languages of the respondents’ countries of origin (Polish, Bulgarian, Croatian, and Romanian).
