BIBB/BAuA-Work-Force-Survey 2011/2012

  • Project number: F 2296
  • Institution: TNS Infratest Sozialforschung
  • Status: Completed Project

Description:

Since 1978 this Work-Force-Survey is conducted on regular bases (usually about 5-6 years); the forthcoming survey BIBB/BAuA-Work-Force-Survey 2011/2012 will be the 6th period of the survey. Since 1998 Federal Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (BAuA) is involved (since 2005 as partner) in the survey, which results in a stronger focus on working condition and their outcomes. Other aspects of employment, which are considered within the survey, are knowledge, requirements, qualification, vocational training etc.

Within the study a representative sample of n=20.000 members of the work force population are questioned using Computer Assisted Telephone Interviews (CATI). To clarify what are the results of the changing of methods from Computer Assisted Personal Interviews (CAPI; used till 1998/1999) to CATI (since 2005/2006) a comparison of methods is made within this project. This comparison of methods will also include an Online-sample.

The results will be useful within the frame of OSH-monitoring and further policy advising. Additionally, it may be used for European benchmarking (f. e. within the PROGRESS-program).
