The recall of unsafe and dangerous products presents considerable challenges to all companies. It is ultimately necessary to inform the consumers and users of the product on a prompt and comprehensive basis, and to secure the customers’ confidence in the company. In this respect, the recall form of the Federal Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (BAuA) can provide support.

The form enables manufacturers, authorised representatives and importers to send all of the key information and data to BAuA with a single process of notification on a secure and convenient basis. BAuA then makes the recall on its website public. As an additional service, in its role as the central reporting office for faulty and dangerous products of the federal government, BAuA also notifies the responsible market surveillance authority if this notification has not yet been provided by the manufacturer.
