20 Years of Operational Integration Management (OIM): Progress made, but more to be done
BIBB/BAuA-Factsheet 52
At the time of the 2024 BIBB/BAuA Employment Survey, the legal requirement to implement an Operational Integration Management (OIM) had been in place for 20 years. The current analysis shows that since the previous survey in 2018, the prevalence of OIM offers has increased from 40% to 52%. Nevertheless, nearly half of eligible employees still do not receive an OIM offer. An increase can be observed across all company sizes and sectors, with the most notable growth in medium-sized and large organizations, as well as in the public sector and industrial sector. OIM continues to be offered more frequently in health-oriented companies.
