- Project number: F 2498
- Institution: Federal Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (BAuA)
- Status: Ongoing Project
- Planned end: 2023-06-30
Description:
In 2013 BAuA issued a specialist book on "psychosocial risk assessment" that serves policymakers and professionals as a recognised, widely consulted source of guidance. Drawing on a thorough analysis of contemporary advances in knowledge and technology, the current recommendations are to be further developed for workplace practice, formulated in more concrete terms, and published in a new edition. In particular, the sections on the following topics are to be revised:
- Psychosocial risks for safety and health at work and aims of preventive work design
- Legal requirements for the consideration of psychosocial risks in occupational safety and health
- Structures, processes and tools of psychosocial risk management in the workplace
- Preconditions, options, drivers and barriers for psychosocial risk management in small enterprises
- Challenges for work design in the context of the digitalisation of work
The latest advances in knowledge and technology relating to these topics will be analysed in the course of the project. This will form the basis on which BAuA's recommendations for practice are further developed and formulated in more concrete terms.
With the updating of the book, this project's objective is to provide tried-and-tested, technically sound recommendations that reflect recent progress in knowledge and technology, so assisting workplace practitioners, academics, and policymakers concerned with the implementation of psychosocial risk assessment.
