Projektbeschreibung:

Development of simplified measurement methods to be particularly applied by small and medium sized enterprises for the determination of the sound power level of machines. These methods shall reduce the measurement effort whilst considering the required uncertainty in practice set by the legislator. This will put machine manufacturers in the position to cost-efficiently comply with the legal requirement of the Machinery Directive to provide a reliable noise emission declaration. A declaration which serves employers as a basis for making a risk assessment due to noise and for purchasing quiet machinery, thus contributing to the noise exposure reduction of workers.
