Description:
Many statutory health insurance funds provide in their annual health reports information about work-related sickness absence. The information is mainly derived from descriptive reporting of the routine data. Structural differences of the health insurance funds limit the comparability of this information. In contrast, the BIBB/BAuA-Survey of Employees 2006 allows analyses of sickness absence without bias due to the structural differences of health insurance funds, moreover it takes into account additional work-related factors. The BIBB/BAuA-Survey was conducted throughout Germany and includes 20,000 subjects. In this project hypotheses of work-related causes of sickness absence will be generated by means of descriptive, univariate and multivariate analyses. The suitability of secondary data as reference data will be checked.
