In its Gender Equality Strategy 2022-25, the EU Commission has set out a vision, policy objectives and actions to make concrete progress towards gender equality in Europe. The strategy touches all areas of the economy and society, including research. To promote gender equality in research, the EU Commission has introduced a new eligibility criterion for Horizon Europe, the EU research framework programme. All public research institutions have to publish a Gender Equality Plan, describing the measures they take to promote gender equality in their institution.
Since many years, BAuA strives to realise gender equality in all its dimensions by setting gender equality aims and developing implementation strategies. In line with the Federal Equality Act, these efforts are specified in a Gender Equality Plan, which is currently being revised and updated for the period 2022-2025.
The following document outlines BAuA's strategy and demonstrates the commitment of BAuA's top management to promoting gender equality.
