Rebecka Holmgren is a doctoral student in Public Health Sciences at Stockholm University, with a background in occupational psychology. In this talk, she presents findings from her thesis examining associations between exposure to workplace bullying and mental health conditions, drawing on longitudinal cohort data from Sweden and Denmark. The study investigates immediate, prospective, and reverse associations with several indicators of mental health conditions: symptoms of anxie-ty, sickness absence due to depression and anxiety disorders, and psychotropic medication use, with the aim of moving closer to a causal understanding of these relationships. The presentation also includes a validation of the Swedish bullying measure used across the studies.
