Links to databases and information on specific hazardous substances

Substance databases can support the employer with their risk assessment if the information in the safety data sheet is insufficiently detailed. A list of relevant databases and information from the BAuA on individual substances is provided here.

The databases listed here contain comprehensive information concerning the safe handling of chemical substances at the workplace. You can find, for example, everything you need to know about the impact of substances on people, the required protective measures and steps to take in the event of risks. In addition, you can also find out about the key physical and chemical data of the substances and about particular legal regulations regarding the individual substances. The databases have different (sector-based) focuses and are primarily oriented to employers and/or occupational safety experts. Links to the substance databases are provided below.
