Legal Consequences of Classification

Database provides support for the evaluation of chemicals

A BAuA database enables users to ascertain quickly and comprehensively, whether the chemicals they use are subject to the legal standards based on their classification.

The information in the database allows the derivation of possible consequences for the application and use of the substances. Users can also see how the legal consequences are constituted and to whom they are addressed. The database consists of two components: On the one hand, it contains the consequences which are directly linked to the CLP Regulation, and on the other hand, the regulations which are still linked to the old law (Directives 1999/45/EC and 67/548/EEC). The database was updated through a research in 2019.

The BAuA has compiled the database to the best of their knowledge. However, the database does not raise claims to completeness or accuracy of the information. It can be used as a supportive tool, but does not free users from their obligation to check the area of law which is relevant to them.
