Isabel Rothe has been heading the Federal Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (BAuA) since 1 November 2007.
She studied occupational psychology at Technische Universität Berlin. After completing her studies in 1989, Isabel Rothe initially worked as a consultant in work and technology design. In 1992 she joined Schering AG, where she worked her way up to become financial director for the company's production site in Berlin. At the beginning of 2004, Isabel Rothe became executive director of Jenapharm. She was appointed as President of the BAuA at the end of 2007.
