Technological changes currently contribute to the transformation of the world of work. However, up to now there is a lack of sufficient empirical data allowing for statements about the relationship between digital change, job demands and safety and health at work.
The project "Monitoring Digital Change" is beginning to systematically close this gap in order to enable an objectification of the debate based on empirical data. Within the project large representative datasets will be analysed, among them the BiBB/BAuA employment survey, the BAuA working time survey and the survey on dissemination and impact of digitalisation and change in employment in the world of work.
Within the evaluation specific tasks, occupational groups as well as overall trends will be addressed. Close attention will be paid to resources that are important for employees in order to face digital change. Furthermore the project will help to develop requirements for occupational safety and health systems in order to enable optimal safety for employees within changing circumstances.
This project is part of focus programme "Occupational Safety & Health in the Digital World of Work".
