In spite of a wide range of available support measures for companies, that should implement the German OSH law and realize workplace health promotion, there is only a limited number of companies in Germany, that entirely accomplish the legal requirements to safety organisation and risk assessment and/or deal with workplace health promotion.
To improve our knowledge about how to enhance the situation the project's objectives are to identify enablers and impediments of OHS practice by mixed methods and develop a theoretical impact model.
Acceptance and / or implementation barriers on the one hand, and factors enabling / facilitating implementation on the other hand, are empirically investigated with up to 60 qualitative interviews and a subsequent quantitative validation of the model developed from the interviews.
The project is based on hypothesis-driven secondary analyses of representative survey data from relevant studies (BIBB/BAuA ESENER, GDA operational and employee survey) and serves primarily theory building purposes.
