A joint action of the market surveillance from several European Member States aims at determining the state of noise emission declarations required by the EC-Machinery Directive. Instructions from machines are collected and the noise emission data to be declared by the machinery manufacturer is inserted into a database through a template. This data is undergoing a validity check in respect to their quality by national contact persons and released for an assessment by experts of the steering committee. A final report giving detailed information on deficits will be provided to the EU-Commission and the cooperating Member States with recommendations on improvements and further actions.
