Roadmap on Carcinogens (RoC) 2.0: EU-Initiative to fight occupational cancer

(in German)

Cancer is with 52 % the most frequent cause of work-related deaths in the European Union (EU). This statistical figure does not nearly represent the significance and consequences for those affected or the society. It also does not answer the question of causes and possibilities for prevention. Various European stakeholders have recognized the need for a joint action in the fight against occupational cancer and have launched the European Roadmap on Carcinogens (RoC) initiative. The RoC collects information, develops strategies and establishes networks for exchange and knowledge transfer between different stakeholders in occupational health and safety, such as employers and employees, as well as national and European institutions and authorities. The RoC also offers a range of information designed to help small and mediumsized enterprises in particular to comply with legal requirements.
