The DASA Working World Exhibition starts the autumn season with something of an unusual presentation. In Dortmund from the 31st of October, "Pia sagt Lebwohl" addresses the darker times in life, but also explores the brighter aspects of professions related to death and uplifting examples of strength and support for all of those involved.

Death is something that many people don’t want to think about. People whose work deals with death and dying find themselves in a different situation, however: they have to cope with grief and death every day. How do they find the right balance between empathy and professional distance?

In a series of interactive rooms, the exhibition tells the moving story of 17-year-old Pia, who has to come to terms with the death of her beloved grandmother, Ruth. During the story, together with Pia, the visitors to DASA meet the professionals who support her on her emotional journey. A journey from life which brings surprises and changes.
