The work and research programme of the Federal Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (BAuA) offers numerous connecting points to achieve common objectives in cooperation with other institutions. Beside project-based cooperation, the Federal Institute for Occupational Safety and Health is also involved interdisciplinary on national, European and international level.
Some areas of the current interdisciplinary cooperation of BAuA include:
- Collaboration in occupational safety and health networks, notably the Partnership for European Research on Occupational Safety and Health (PEROSH), the Focal-Point-Network of the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work (EU-OSHA) as well as the Collaborating Centre of the World Health Organisation (WHO-CC)
- Activities in committees and scientific societies, e.g. Advisory Committee on Safety and Health at Work (ACSH)
- Cooperation with universities and research institutions, particularly in order to enhance the exchange of research and education of young researchers
- Collaboration with European Institutions, e.g. European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) and European Agency for Safety and Health at Work (EU-OSHA)
