Aim of the epidemiological study is the investigation of the health risk after long persisting exposure to bioaerosols in composting plants. This investigation amends an earlier study (Project F 5184), where a significant degradation of the lung function of compost workers had been detected. After ten years the workers will be re-examined to verify the effectiveness of workplace control measures estabilished in the meantime.
