Evaluation of instruments managing demographic change
The present project report shall be a guideline for action for small and medium-sized enterprises to enable them to design demographic change. The first part of the project report deals with testing selected instruments and design approaches for their practicability and application, preparing them to focus on their strengths and weaknesses. It is the goal of the project to compile a box of tools to design demographic change. The second part is a description of the selected instruments of the tool box to form a guideline for the actors described (what, when, how, with whom to do). The focus of project activities is placed on the area of a flexible (geriatric) labour design for the elderly. Using a risk evaluation with geriatric criticity, existing workplaces are evaluated and design measures derived from it. The necessity of design is made evident with a simple red-amber-green light model.
Results are then linked to age structure analysis and qualification requirements studies for each sphere of work and are interpreted in the context. The concept was tested for several major areas in 4 German and Dutch companies and is documented in the third part of the report.
