This manual is a decision tool to help choose structural measures and make decisions regarding building energy systems for office buildings and comparable room categories. This guide is meant for buildings owners, architects, HVAC engineers, structural physics specialists, hygienists, industrial safety engineers, landlords and tenants, but also scientists with an interest in thermal comfort.
In a first part, the author describes the fundamentals of thermal comfort and the comfort criteria that form the basis of the manual. Subsequently, details are given concerning the calculation algorithm and the related boundary conditions. The major part of the book contains diagrams illustrating thermal comfort for the most various structures and installations. A comparative analysis will help the reader to apply the presented results.
