Biological effects of electromagnetic fields - electrosensitivity

More and more people are anxious about the so-called "environmental diseases". It is assumed, that some adverse symptoms are caused by the use of electric appliances or in the vicinity of other devices emitting electromagnetic fields. In the German references terms like "electrosensitivity", "electric allergy" or "electromagnetic hypersensitivity" are used. Lots of people fear, that already weak electromagnetic fields always present in our environment produce subjective symptoms and result in health defects. In the platform presentations the different applications and kinds of immission of electromagnetic fields have been shown, biological effect have been explained and it has been shown, that those effects can be measured and calculated objectively. Furthermore, that state-of-the-art concerning the interactions between biological matter and electromagnetic fields has been presented and the results of the work of an international experts group (initiated and supported by EU) were given by a member of that group. Preliminary results of a study "Effects of radiation from mobile phones on mental performance of volunteers" were presented.
