Export / Import Regulation
Notifications according to Regulation (EC) No 689/2008 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 17 June 2008 concerning the export and import of dangerous chemicals
German exporters of chemicals which are prohibited or subject to severe restrictions in the EC must inform the Federal Office for Chemicals about the export of these substances.
You can obtain further information on the subject from the website of the Institute for Health and Consumer Protection (IHCP) (formerly known as European Chemicals Bureau - ECB).
In the case of the export of certain chemicals which are regulated according to the Prior Informed Consent (PIC) procedure, import bans by the recipient countries must be observed.
In order to ensure a smooth co-operation between BAuA as responsible authority and the German exporters in implementing Regulation (EC) No 689/2008, we would like to minimise or anticipate possible problems by publishing a newsletter focussing on the subject.
