Our Information Centre is the competent nationwide information point for the players involved in practical occupational safety and health in companies, for the statutory accident insurance institutions and in the state institutions. For specialist questions you, as a specialist for occupational safety and health, a company doctor or staff or works representative, are well advised to consult the BAuA's Information Centre.

The Federal Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (BAuA) conducts research and development in the field of safety and health at work, promotes the transfer of knowledge transfer to practice, advises policymakers and performs sovereign functions - under hazardous substances law, for product safety and with the health data archive.

If they are unable to find a solution within the company, the workers can consult the occupational safety and health authorities in the respective federal states, as well as the industrial and agricultural Berufsgenossenschaften (institutions for statutory accident insurance and prevention) and the State Accident Insurance Institutions.
