Selected EU-Projects
During the last years third party funding has become more important for financing R&D as well as a stimulus for networking.
BAuA has extended the activities in the field of third party funding both on national and European level. The projects, several researchers are working for are often running between one and three years.
There were 23 ongoing research projects in 2008. In the first three month in 2009, BAuA scientists applied with already eight project-consortia for research funding. Key aspects of research activity in the institute are in the fields of nanotechnology, psychosocial risks at work and mental health.
For example, BAuA is coordinator in the European Union's 6th Framework Programme project "ProMenPol" - Promoting and Protecting Mental Health. The aim of the project with nine partners from eight European countries is the implementation of an online database for psychological health promotion. The coordinator is responsible for the financial, administrative (e.g. communication with the EU) as well as the technical management (e.g. global documentation of the project).
In future, BAuA is going to extend third party funding. The institute therefore needs appropriate partners.
